Downtown Frederick is the perfect town if your looking for winter holiday character and charm. Lit trees line the streets and almost every business has a unique store front, resulting in a holiday store front window contest with every business downtown.

Here are some Holiday Events that will take place in town:

December 17, 2010

Cookies and Carriage Holiday Light Tour

The home decoration and light tour will be held in the Baker Park vicinity. Riders will be judges voting for their favorite decorated house on the tour. Riders can enjoy cookies and hot cider in the Skater's House located on Culler Lake as it is transformed into a winter wonderland. Frosty & Rudolph will be in attendance and you can enjoy caroling provided by some local Girl Scout troops. Carriage will leave every 30 minutes from the Skater's House on the corner of Second Street and West College Terrace from 6 - 9pm. Pre-registration is recommended. A Christmas Carol

Maryland Ensemble Theatre's The FUN Company presents the classic tale of A Christmas Carol. Showtimes are 7:30pm on Friday, 2 and 7:30pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday at the Weinberg Center for the Arts located at 20 W. Patrick Street. Holiday Carriage Rides

Come and enjoy a carriage ride through Downtown Frederick during the holiday season. The carriage leaves every 30 minutes for a memorable holiday ride with family and friends. Carriages pick-up in front of 124 N. Market Street 4:30 - 8:30pm on Saturday and 2:30 - 6:30pm on Sunday. Pre-registration is recommended.
