Department of Permitting Services to Host Second Public Forum

Montgomery County’s Department of Permitting Services (DPS) will host, in cooperation with multiple agencies involved in the development review process, the second of two public forums on the topic of streamlining the development process in the County.  The forum will be held on Friday, March 9, in the Executive Office Building, Lobby Level Auditorium, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville.  The time has changed and the forum will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The Show will be held on Sunday March 18th from 11 AM to 5 PM at Potomac Floral Wholesale which is located at 2403 Linden Lane, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Over 800 guests from all over the world, consisting of vendors, suppliers, growers, designers, flower shop owners, and floral industry representatives will gather on this day.

Visitors can explore plenty of unique Grower and Vendor exhibits while discovering exciting new flower varieties from Holland, Chile, Israel, South Africa and Japan. Everyone will enjoy live music by the Potomac Jazz Project, while sampling wonderful hors d'oeuvres, foods, and drinks!

March brings a treat to Frederick County with the Frederick County Public Schools’ All-County Student Art Exhibit at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center.  Open free to the public, the exhibit features more than 300 items of colorful and imaginative two- and three-dimensional creations by elementary, middle and high school students from each public school.

Community Invited to Celebrate Start of Olney Library Renovation

Residents are invited to a ceremony to mark the start of construction for the Olney Library renovation project on Sunday, February 26 at 1 p.m. at 3500 Olney-Laytonsville Rd.  The event will take place rain or shine.  Montgomery County Public Libraries Director Parker Hamilton and Department of General Services Director David Dise will greet attendees and offer brief remarks.
