Montgomery County Emergency Mortgage Assistance Event

If you lost income due to involuntary unemployment or medical problems and are behind in your mortgage payments, the State of Maryland has a program that could help save your home from foreclosure.

Get your application in by mid September, 2011.

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development  is partnering with Montgomery Co Housing Dept in hosting an Emergency Mortgage Assistance Workshop on August 8, 3pm-8pm at the Silver Spring Civic Center. This is mainly for homeowners who have lost income and are behind on their mortgage to learn about EMA or if they've completed an EMA application, hand it in directly to one of our underwriters.  I've attached a flyer below with more info.  We are hosting a similar event on August 27 in Prince George's.
Montgomery  and Prince George's Counties rank 1st and 4th respectively among all MD counties impacted by foreclosure, as you can see from our latest foreclosure report :http://mdhope.dhcd.maryland.gov/Library/Library%20of%20Foreclosure%20Information/Property%20Foreclosures%20in%20Maryland%202nd%20Quarter%202011.pd
