Armed Robbery of Safeway Store

 

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police-Major Crimes Division, Robbery Section are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a Safeway grocery store.  Today, detectives are releasing photographs of the suspects.

On July 15 at approximately 10:22 p.m., officers from the 3rd District responded to the Safeway, 116 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.  The preliminary investigation revealed that two suspects entered the store office and encountered an employee.  One suspect pulled out a handgun and the other suspect punched the employee in the face.  The suspects then removed an undetermined amount of currency from the cash drawers in the office.  The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

Reward Offered in North Bethesda Middle School Vandalism

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 2nd District continue to investigate a vandalism that occurred at North Bethesda Middle School over the weekend. Crime Solvers is now offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and/or indictment in this case.

 The Frederick County Bureau of Investigation (FCBI) is investigating a burglary that occurred on 7/15/2011 at the Dunkin Donuts, located on Fingerboard Road.  At approximately 5:30 a.m. Dfc. Stephanie Kelley of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded to the burglary toinvestigate. 

Investigation on the scene revealed that between the times of 2:00 - 2:15 a.m., two individuals broke a window and gained entry into the establishment.  The suspects spent approximately five minutes inside the store attempting to force open the cash registers.  They then exited the premises; one in a white SUV, and the other on foot.  The damage to the store window is estimated at $500.00. 

In an effort to identify and apprehend the suspects, FCBI is releasing photos of the suspects obtained from video surveillance.  The suspects and their vehicle are described as follows:
