Man arrested after ice cream man shot in Frederick | News

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A 27-year-old man was arrested after an ice cream man was shot and killed Saturday in Frederick, according to Frederick police.
Larnell Tyran Lyles of Frederick, Md. was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, police said.

At approximately 5:12 p.m. on Saturday police were called to the in the 400 block of Vermont Court in Frederick's Lucas Village neighborhood.
Upon arrival, police say officers located Brandon Brown, 22, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Police say Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
After an investigation, police determined that Brown was working for a "Big Daddy Ice Cream" truck and stopped in the 400 Block of Vermont Court. Once Brown stepped off the truck, police say Lyles approached Brown and shot him in the chest.
Police say they were able to identify Lyles through information and witness accounts.
Lyles is also being charged with use of a handgun in the commission of a felony, police said.
