Missing Frederick man found dead in car

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A missing Frederick County man was found dead inside of a vehicle on Saturday, officials said.

Timothy David Nicholson, 54, was last seen sometime between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Nicholson was found Saturday after a passerby spotted a vehicle parked behind a building, Frederick County Sheriff's Office said.

Nicholson was found dead inside of the vehicle.

His family has been notified, officials said.

Man wearing mask wanted in Frederick Co pharmacy burglary

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man is being sought in connection with a burglary that happened at the Medicine Plus Pharmacy in New Market, Md.

The burglary happened on March 20, around 4:30 a.m. at the store located on Old National Pike in New Market, Frederick County Sheriff's Office said.

Officials said the man was able to get into the store by smashing the front door. The suspect stole large amounts of Oxycodone and Dextro-Amphetamenes prescription medications.

The suspect involved is being described as possibly a white man between the ages of 20 and 30 years of age. He has an average build, and was seen wearing a striped shirt, glasses, a mask and gloves.

5 MD high school students overdose on drugs

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Frederick County Deputies responded to the five high school students that overdosed on prescription medication at Oakdale High School in Ijamsville Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded to Oakdale High School located on Eaglehead Drive in Ijamsville around 11 a.m., officials said.

The investigation showed that five female students ingested the prescription medications they got from a 15-year-old female student. Four of the students were taken to the Frederick Memorial Hospital and one was given to her parent.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police investigate vehicles broken into in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Frederick Police are investigating after three separate vehicles were broken into in the area of the Frederick Indoor Sports Complex.

Officers responded to the complex located at 1845 Brookfield Ct., for the report of theft from a vehicle, authorities said. Police found a total of three cars that had been broken into and had items stolen from inside.

Police are investigating.

Man injured in Frederick single vehicle collision

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man was injured in a single vehicle collision that happened in Frederick, Md. early Saturday morning.

Police responded to the collision around 2:21 a.m. in the 400 block of Center Street, authorities said. The responding officer found a Toyota Tacoma that had backed into a parked van, police said.

The officers then saw a man slumped over the wheel unresponsive. The man was taken out of the vehicle and transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma for treatment, according to police. After his treatment he became conscious again.

The investigation is ongoing.

Frederick man arrested for second degree assault

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Frederick Police arrested a man who punched a man and then sprayed his pepper spray in during a fight in Frederick.

Officers responded to the 600 block of North Market Street for the report of a crowd standing in the road fighting, authorities said.

Police spotted Abiri Akeem Taylor, 32, of Frederick punching another man and then spraying his pepper spray. Taylor was then arrested. The crowd then dispersed and nobody else was impacted by the pepper spray, police said.

Taylor is being charged with second degree assault.

FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police have found a missing man from Frederick.

Frederick Police are searching for a missing man who was last seen on Thursday, according to authorities.

Police are searching for Alex Cordero Hallenbeck, who was last seen in the downtown area of Frederick, Md.

Hallenbeck stands 5'9" tall and weighs around 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black and grey jacket, and red jeans, police said.

The Frederick Police Department is requesting anyone with information into the whereabouts of Hallenbeck to contact the Frederick Police Department at 301-600-2102. Anonymous information may be given by contacting the Frederick Police Department Crime Tip Line at 301-600-TIPS. (8477)
